3D Computer Generated Model of Windfall Island from the Legend of Zelda Windwaker, created using Autodesk Maya.
I made this model in 2014 as part of a college project. The brief was to create a model of a house but I pushed myself to create something more intricate. We had around 6 hours of taught tutorials in Maya before designing and building the final model. I also animated the model so that the windmill turned but this was all done by trial and error so it isn't perfect.
The screenshots above are part of a 170 page report on 3D computer modelling that I created alongside creating this model. The images show my concepts for the model which is based on an island from a video game.
The images above show the development of the 3D model as well as some information about how I made each part. Since I have made this model, I have experimented more with Autodesk Maya and now realise other ways that I could have approached the creation of this model, however I am still proud of this model that I created over 3 weeks and happy that I achieved the highest grade for it.
